
DAYTON, Ohio (WKRC) - A pair of brothers shot a hail of bullets at three different Ohio homes to get revenge for a insulting social media post, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old girl.
According to a release from the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office, brothers Antawan Benson and Javen Conner approached a woman on the evening of August 22, 2024 and confronted her about a social media post that involved their cousin. The content of the post was not revealed, but the confrontation reportedly became intense enough that police were called. Benson and Conner left the scene before officers arrived
At 12:30 a.m. the next morning, Benson and Conner used an AK-47 and AR-15 to unload bullets at three homes on West Fairview Avenue. One of the bullets struck 12-year-old Isabella Carlos, who died from the gunshot wound.
Benson and Conner were charged with murder on September 9, 2024, and were convicted in December 2025. They were found guilty on the following charges, according to WKEF:
