A terrifying fire ripped through a densely populated neighborhood in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City, leaving multiple homes completely engulfed in flames as residents fled in panic.

Newly released footage shows walls of fire spreading rapidly from house to house, lighting up the night sky and overwhelming entire rows of residential structures within minutes.

What We Know So Far
According to initial reports, the blaze broke out late in the evening and quickly escalated, forcing firefighters to raise the alarm as conditions worsened. Strong winds, tightly packed homes, and flammable materials contributed to the fire’s rapid spread.

Residents were seen desperately trying to salvage belongings while others ran for safety as thick smoke filled the area. Fire crews from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) rushed to the scene, battling intense flames for hours to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Homes Destroyed, Families Displaced
Authorities say dozens of houses were damaged or destroyed, with many families left homeless overnight. Evacuation centers were opened nearby as local officials coordinated emergency shelter, food, and basic supplies for affected residents.

As of now, there have been no confirmed reports of fatalities, but officials continue to assess the full extent of the damage and check for possible injuries.

Cause Under Investigation
Investigators have not yet confirmed what sparked the fire. Electrical issues are among the possible causes being examined, a common concern in densely built residential areas.
