Here’s how ’80s supermodel Carol Alt remains fit and attractive in her 60s with her workout and diet

One of the most highly booked supermodels from the 80s, Carol Alt, has always been fit. However, the 65-year-old’s physique and ageless appearance are the result of regular exercise.

The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl incorporates weightlifting, squats, trampoline, and lunges. She even alternates between the Core 46 machine and the Pilates PRO chair.

Carol Alt prefers mixing pilates and yoga, according to Parade magazine. Her fitness routine also includes cardio. She also prefers long walking sessions in New York City.

Her favourite is doing stationary cycling in an infrared sauna in her home, and she shared that “It doesn’t get hot, but after 15 or 20 minutes, you are sweating like crazy,” she told DailyMail.com in 2025.

The health mantra Carol Alt follows is “You can have all the Versaces in the world in your closet, but if you don’t have your health, you’ve got nothing.”

Apart from these exercises and walks, one thing Carol Alt swears by for her fitness is her diet and eating habits.

Carol Alt is strict with he diet

Carol Alt starts her day with a protein-packed dose and fruits, which help reduce her overeating. “The earlier protein loads me up, and the fruit tops me off. That way, I don’t overeat. Sometimes I might make it a fruit slushy or a fresh juice right before I leave,” she said, DailyMail.com.

Hydration is another vital element in her diet, especially the lime water. “I drink water throughout the evening because it fills me up and keeps me hydrated,” she explained. “Putting a lemon or lime in it also makes me feel like I’m drinking something, so people don’t keep trying to give me something because I am empty-handed,” she added.

She is a fan of eating veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, and broccoli. Although she likes to eat, she prefers moderation and said, “Eating [a] minimal amount, so you can get the test, but not overeating.” Carol Alt also consumes grass-fed meat and fish.

Carol Alt has adopted and promotes a raw diet, and she has also written two books on it. When she started having a raw diet, she remembers that “Even in the first three months after I went raw, people were looking at me and saying, ‘Why do you look so amazing?’ And I would tell them, ‘I’m eating raw foods!’”

She once told Parade magazine that she consumes “clean, organic, unprocessed food.” Carol Alt also shared that, “the amazing thing about my change of diet to raw was that I was able to eat more, I was never hungry, I was never feeling bad, and I always had energy.”
