Teyana Taylor has recently confessed being starstruck by Julia Roberts after meeting her at the 2026 Golden Globes last month.
The One Battle After Another actress gushes over Julia ahead of accepting her Virtuosos Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on February 8.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Teyana says, “Everybody knows that I love Julia and I'm obsessed with her.”
All’s Fair actress recalls that Julia “was on the carpet at the same time I was on the carpet, but it was the part where it's all the videos and stuff happening, so we weren’t in front of cameras”.
“They brought her over and I looked, and I started backing up and my eyes was watering and she was coming closer,” she continues.
Teyana explains, “’Don't come an inch closer.’ And she was coming closer, and then I just dived into her arms and it was just so amazing.”
“We were like instant besties,” mentions the Straw actress.
Elsewhere in the interview, Teyana shares she got emotional after looking at Julia’s shocking reaction to her winning Best Supporting Actress for her role as Perfidia in the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed drama.
“She was standing up when I won and I just dived into her arms again, and it was just so amazing,” she remarks.
Teyana adds, “Julia is my bestie in my head, even if she doesn’t know it.”
