Anthony Loffredo, a 34-year-old Frenchman, has gained global attention for his extreme body modifications. Known as the “Black Alien,” he has spent over a decade transforming himself into what he describes as a living art project.

Loffredo has undergone dramatic changes: tattooing his entire body black, splitting his tongue, inking his eyes, inserting subdermal implants, and even removing his nose, ears, and upper lip. Recently, he revealed a new “alien claw” after having two fingers surgically removed. Despite the controversy, he insists he has only completed about 34% of his transformation.

Fascinated with the human body since childhood, Loffredo once worked as a security guard before leaving that life behind to pursue his vision. His project, documented on Instagram as the Black Alien Project, has amassed more than 850,000 followers. While many praise his courage, others view his appearance with fear or criticism.
Though he struggles to find steady work due to his looks, Loffredo remains unapologetic. Supported by his family, he hopes to continue modifying his body—possibly replacing skin with metal and reshaping limbs—to fully realize his “alien” identity.
