Her companion raised an eyebrow but nodded thoughtfully.
“Well,” she said calmly, “if we’re going to live among them, we should try to fit in.”
A few moments later, they spotted a street vendor with a bright sign that read: HOT DOGS – $2.
They looked at each other.
“That must be it,” the first nun said nervously.
Taking a deep breath, they walked up to the vendor.
“Two dogs, please,” one nun said politely.
The vendor grinned, wrapped two hot dogs in foil, and handed them over.
The sisters quickly found a nearby bench and sat down, both curious and slightly nervous about what they were about to eat.
The Mother Superior slowly opened the foil.
She stared down at the hot dog for a moment.
Then she glanced over at the other nun and leaned in close.
In a very quiet voice she whispered,
“…Which part did you get?”
