“Cousins,” Hoda simply captioned the image, and fans were quick to express their admiration for the family, with many wishing Hoda and her daughters a great week.
The post comes only one day after her co-star Savannah Guthrie stated that Hoda would be missing this week’s episode of NBC’s The View to spend time with her family. Hoda began her vacation by giving followers a glimpse into her personal life, revealing that she began Sunday with a morning at home with her girls while watching the Women’s World Cup.
She later disclosed that her extended family, including her mother, Sameha “Sami” Kotb, had enjoyed a delightful pre-birthday supper, courtesy of her friend and colleague Jenna Bush Hager.
“@jennabhager Thank you for the excellent pre-birthday dinner! My entire family enjoyed it, as did YOU!!” Hoda captions the photo, disclosing that Jenna made it.
It will be a well-deserved holiday for Hoda, who recently announced the publication of her new book, Hope is a Rainbow, which was inspired by her youngest daughter Hope.
“It reminds me that hope is in every corner, no matter what hardship you endure,” she told young readers and fans while spray painting the title of the book on a wall in the Bronx, New York.
Hope was hospitalized for several days in February and March 2023, and the book appears months later. Hoda left Today, but when she returned, she told viewers, “My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week.”
“I’m so glad she’s home. She has returned home. I was looking forward to that day, and we are keeping a tight eye on her. “I’m overjoyed.”
“I’m grateful to my family, and I’m grateful to friends like you who were there every single day,” she told Savannah.
Hope is a Rainbow is the follow-up to her children’s book I’ve Loved You Since Forever, which was inspired by Haley’s birth in 2018.
Hoda adopted both Hope and Haley, and she continues to coparent the two with her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman.
