When Husband Falls Asleep In Car, Wife Asks Internet To Show Him What He Missed.

Road trips can be fun, but there's no denying that some hours get a little dull after miles in the car.

Road trips can be fun, but there’s no denying that some hours get a little dull after miles in the car. Sharea and Nate Overman and their three sons were driving across Indiana to visit family when Nate zoned out a bit. The way he was leaning back in his seat made it look like he was “passed out” while driving, so Sharea, a part-time photographer, snapped a picture.

She decided to share the priceless shot with a photography group on Facebook and asked them to Photoshop the background to “show him what he missed.” Her online community did not disappoint!

“I started getting messages from people in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska… sending me their Photoshopped images of my husband,”

The couple had a blast laughing at all the funny entries for the rest of their journey, but they assumed the fun would end as quickly as it began. They were wrong. It’s been a few weeks and the photos are still rolling in! Each “While You Were Sleeping” creation is a true work of art, but here are a few of our favorite things Nate missed during his nap.

1. Doc and Marty from Back to the Future.

Where they were going, they didn’t need any roads….

2. They do exist!

It’s a shame he was asleep. Seeing a UFO is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

3. Joe Exotic from “Tiger King.”

4. Christie Brinkley from “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”

5. It was the best of times, it was the end of times.

We all wish we could sleep this deeply.

6. Ooh la la, when did they move the Eiffel Tower to Indiana?

7. Nate is the new Nemo.

8. Shouldn’t have made that left turn into Jurassic Park.

9. The sleeping driver meets “The Walking Dead.”

10. When pigs fly!

11. Nate made a new friend!

12. Who knew their car was capable of intergalactic travel?

It’s been so humbling because what started out as something so silly, has turned into all of this,” Sharea explained. “We are putting smiles on faces we don’t even know.”
