Prince Harry has shared his brutal two-word nickname for Queen Camilla.
The Duke of Sussex, 39, has caused a stir after shedding light on his complex feelings towards his stepmother.
In his best-selling memoir ‘Spare,’ Prince Harry delves into the impact Camilla’s relationship with King Charles had on his older brother, Prince William, describing it as a source of confusion and torment throughout their childhood.
And now, his brutal two-word nickname for his stepmother has divided the internet.
One commenter remarks: “I really don’t think he wants to get back into the family.”
“I can understand the hate he has for Camilla and why he is mad at his father for leaving his mother and that will always stay with him but he needs to move on,” a second pens.
“No one says that he has to love her but by keeping up with this hate it will not make things better between him and his father.”
A third person jokes: “That’s the way to mend fences.”
Others have come to Prince Harry’s defense, with one writing: “He has every right to feel the way he does about her.”
In agreement, another adds: “I don’t blame him one little bit.”
Prince Harry’s strained relationship with the royal family has been a subject of considerable public interest over the years.
In his 2023 memoir, he opens up about his contentious relationship with Camilla and how he and his older brother had opposed King Charles’ decision to marry her.
In a television interview with Anderson Cooper on CBS, Prince Harry said: “We didn’t think it was necessary. We thought it would do more harm than good.
“We wanted him to be happy. And we saw how happy he was with her. So, at the time, it was, ‘okay.'”
In ‘Spare,’ he elaborated: “Despite Willy and me urging him not to, Pa was going ahead. We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings.
“We recognized that he was finally going to be with the woman he loved, the woman he’d always loved.”
Further probing from Cooper revealed Prince Harry’s concerns over Camilla’s influence and the media’s portrayal of her.
The Duke suggested a calculated agenda on Camilla’s part to reshape public perception, positioning herself for her eventual role as Queen Consort.
“Because of the need for her to rehabilitate her image, that made her dangerous because of the connections she was forging within the British press,” he said.
“And with her position on the way to becoming queen consort, there was a potential for significant fallout.”
Yet in an interview with Good Morning America, Prince Harry was a little kinder to his stepmother, saying he has a ‘huge amount of compassion for her.’
He confirmed (via Time): “She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother.
“I see someone who married into this institution and has done everything that she can to improve her own reputation and her own image for her own sake.”
Prince Harry devotes significant attention to Camilla in his bombshell memoir, mentioning her name more than 60 times.
He paints a vivid picture of Prince William’s inner turmoil, revealing how the revelation of King Charles and Camilla’s relationship left his brother burdened with ‘tremendous guilt’ for not intervening sooner.
It seems clear that this impact continues today, particularly in light of the cruel two-word nickname Prince Harry used for Camilla in his book.
